Physical Therapy Faculty
The University of Saint Mary is accepting nominations and applications for a full-time Faculty position in Physical Therapy. The University of Saint Mary is a Catholic, liberal arts university located in Leavenworth KS, just 25 minutes away from Kansas City.
The developing program in Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time assistant, associate or full professor. Preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in adult neurological care and in neuroscience/motor control. Candidates in other specialty areas are welcome to apply and will be considered. The selected individual will participate in teaching, scholarship, service, program development, and student academic and research advisement. Both program and institutional missions are congruent and parallel in their emphasis and vision on developing God-given potentials, creating value-centered lives, training graduate level professionals who will contribute to the well-being of their society, and on providing service to others. REQUIREMENTS:
An ideal candidate must be a physical therapist, have a doctorate such as a Ph.D., Sc.D., or an Ed.D, or have a DPT with specialty certification granted by The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), and be eligible for licensure in Kansas. Strong candidates who are in the candidacy phase of the doctoral degree may be considered.
This is a twelve-month, tenure track faculty appointment. The position start date is negotiable, but a start date of January 1, 2013 is preferred.
