Vice President for Advancement - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

Dr. Steven DiSalvo, the new President of Marian University, is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Advancement. Founded as Marian College in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, Marian University is a co-educational, Catholic college providing a values-based applied liberal arts education. The University boasts an enrollment of 1,986 undergraduate and 816 graduate students from Wisconsin and 13 other states and 13 countries.  There are currently 1,400 traditional undergraduates on the 104-acre main campus located in a residential area of Fond du Lac. Marian offers adult accelerated evening/weekend undergraduate programs and nationally recognized graduate programs on the main campus as well as at numerous educational centers across Wisconsin. Marian offers over 50 academic undergraduate majors and minors and master’s and doctoral programs for the graduate student.

The Vice President for Advancement is the chief development officer for Marian University and has direct responsibility for raising the necessary funds for annual support, special programs and projects. Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Advancement will serve as a member of the President’s cabinet and work closely with a broad range of campus constituencies including the Board of Trustees, other vice presidents, deans, and volunteers in order to successfully raise capital, endowment, foundation, and annual giving support at levels that will achieve the goals of Marian's long-range plan. The Vice President is charged with the responsibility to design and implement an aggressive advancement program for the University in collaboration with the President and Board of Trustees

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Advancement professional who will be charged with significantly increasing Marian’s donor base, strengthening relationships with current and past donors, and increasing the total dollars raised in support of the University's immediate and short term needs. The new Vice President for Advancement should have a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred and/or CFRE credentials, and a minimum five years of demonstrated successful fundraising and administrative experience, ideally in higher education. The new Vice President for Advancement will be given the opportunity to build a comprehensive development program and staff geared to take the level of fundraising at the University to new heights.  He or she will partner with President DiSalvo in securing the financial resources necessary to meet the challenges of a competitive higher education market. Compensation and benefit package are excellent and commensurate with experience.
