Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a private, co-educational, four-year comprehensive institution grounded in the liberal arts.  The College enrolls approximately 1,200 students offering 37 undergraduate majors, and masters’ degrees in business administration and education. LEC is nationally recognized for its equine studies program and international learning opportunities.  Located in Painesville, Ohio, 30 miles east of Cleveland, the historic main campus is comprised of 60 acres and 18 buildings.  The George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center, located 5 miles south of campus in Concord Twp., is comprised of 90 acres, barns that accommodate up to 95 horses and a 700-seat arena.  The College is also a very athletic campus.  As an NCAA Division II school, LEC offers 23 varsity sports and competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the East Coast Conference (ECC) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). While Science and Business are the largest majors, the Parker MBA Program is among the fastest-growing and most highly regarded programs in the State of Ohio.

Reporting to the President and as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement provides leadership and vision for the IA program and exhibits a deep commitment to the College’s mission, vision and values.  The VPIA provides leadership to, and management of, all areas of institutional advancement including development, alumni relations, community relations, public relations, and marketing.

  • Prepare and edit speeches and presentations for the President;
  • Work closely with the President on all college-related activities;
  • Organize and oversee activities dedicated to strengthening the College’s relationships with donor constituents and alumni.
