The Vice President for Finance and Administration is responsible for the leadership and management of the University’s administrative and finance operations.  Georgian Court University, founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, offers an extremely safe and nurturing campus environment with individualized attention and guidance. Open to students of all faiths, the University provides comprehensive liberal arts education in the Roman Catholic tradition. Georgian Court University offers more than 30 undergraduate degrees, 10 graduate degrees, and a variety of certificates in a wide range of areas. The University is located in residential Lakewood, New Jersey, conveniently situated 60 miles from New York and Philadelphia and only 10 miles from the beautiful Jersey Shore. In the Fall 2013, after a long history as a women's college with co-educational graduate programs and undergraduate evening programs, Georgian Court became fully co-educational.

Reporting to the President, and a member of the President’s Administrative Team (PAT), the Vice President/CFO will provide executive level direction and management oversight for financial planning, budgeting and budget analysis, accounting and business operations, finance controls and reporting, investment oversight, campus security, student accounts, risk management and insurance, space planning and construction, facilities and grounds operations, purchasing and contracts, mail services, and auxiliary enterprises. The Office of Vice President for Finance and Administration consists of Finance, Facilities, Purchasing, Student Accounts, Information Technology, Food Service, Bookstore, and Campus Security. Information Technology, Food Service and Bookstore are managed through the Vice President’s office by contract. 

The University seeks an experienced financial leader who is committed to student success, will inspire the staff, and will work with the President and leadership to fulfill the University's Mercy Catholic mission and strategic plan.  Qualifications include a degree in a relevant field (Master’s preferred) and ten or more years of progressive, directly related experience, preferably in higher education finance and business affairs. He or she must demonstrate success in developing and implementing strategic plans and have good evaluative judgment, the ability to make sound decisions and develop effective solutions to business problems. Candidates must possess strong technical and analytical skills, and strong communication skills. S/He must also have the desire and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively and have an understanding of, and commitment to, private higher education.
