Felician College is seeking nominations and applications for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA). Appointed by and reporting to the President, Dr. Anne Prisco, the VPAA is the chief academic officer of the College and has responsibility for all academic matters including curriculum, faculty and staff hires, faculty development, student academic success, and resource management. Felician is a private, Catholic/Franciscan, independent, co-educational, college founded and sponsored by the Felician Sisters. With a mission to educate a diverse population of students within the framework of a liberal arts tradition, the College has a total enrollment of over 2,000 undergraduate, graduate and adult studies students and features two locations in Lodi and Rutherford, New Jersey, only 15 minutes apart and within 10 miles of New York City.

 

The Vice President of Academic Affairs will be an experienced academic leader who is committed to student success, will inspire the faculty, and will work with the President and leadership to fulfill the College's strong mission and strategic plan. The successful candidate should have an earned doctorate from an accredited college; a distinguished record of teaching experience with traditional and non-traditional students, scholarship and collegial service; a minimum of seven years proven leadership and professional experience preferably in Catholic higher education; and implementation of creative and strategic initiative.  The ideal candidate must embrace teaching and learning not only in the traditional models, but be comfortable through experience and success with online, hybrid, competency based professional, and continuing education models as they develop and grow as delivery systems at Felician College and an understanding of and strong commitment to the mission of the College.
