Keuka College is accepting nominations and applications for the position of:
PROVOST and VICE PRESIDENT for ACADEMIC AFFAIRS

 

Keuka College seeks a leader to serve as its next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reporting to the President, the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic of the College, serves as a vital member of the executive leadership team, oversees the academic integrity of the institution, and provides campus-wide leadership in achieving the mission of the College.

 

Founded in 1890 and located on the shore of Keuka Lake in New York’s Finger Lakes region, Keuka is a private, undergraduate and graduate, residential college that also offers bachelor’s degree completion and master’s degree programs. Keuka College boasts an enrollment of 1,873 students on the New York campus which includes 921 in the Accelerated Studies for Adults Program (ASAP) and 3,185 students in China and Vietnam. The College has been classified by Carnegie as a Master’s S, is the national leader in experiential hands-on learning, and a national leader in career identification and exploration. The College provides a liberal arts based education, strengthened by its experiential learning, which challenges students to develop their intellectual curiosity and to realize, with purpose and integrity, their full personal and professional potential.

The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs provides academic leadership in strategic planning, budget management, program development and review, and faculty development. S/He will be responsible for assessing and strengthening the College’s academic programs; recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty and staff; and have direct responsibility for all Division Chairs, Directors, and other Administrators within the Academic Affairs programs. The President seeks an experienced leader who is innovative, committed to student success, will inspire the faculty, build a relationship with the Board, and will work collaboratively with the President and leadership to fulfill the College’s mission and strategic plan.

The successful candidate must have:
• an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university;
• a minimum of seven years of academic administration and leadership;
• a distinguished record of teaching, scholarship and collegial service;
• a practical and intellectual understanding of higher education administration;
• a working understanding of academic assessment, program review, curriculum development
and continuous improvement;
• proven knowledge and experience with campus-wide information technology;
• experience with accreditation practices; and
• a strong commitment to working effectively with other administrators, staff, faculty, and
trustees in communicating the mission of the College.
