Associate Dean of Nursing

 

Mercy College of Ohio is a Catholic college, an affiliate of Catholic Health Partners, one of the nation’s largest and most respected health care systems.  Mercy College of Ohio offers 16 health and health science programs at the baccalaureate, associate and certificate levels, enrolling 1,200 students at two locations (Toledo, Ohio and Youngstown, Ohio).  The nursing division encompasses three degree programs, BSN, BSN Completion and ASN.  Mercy College of Ohio is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, CCNE, NLNAC and numerous program accreditation agencies. 

The Associate Dean of Nursing reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty.  The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate from an accredited institution, understanding of and respect for Mercy core values and Catholic tradition, experience in nursing education administration, and proven ability to foster positive and effective interdisciplinary relationships. Responsibilities will include: creative leadership in academic endeavors, understanding of the intricacies of health care professional education and understanding and support of the concept of shared governance.
