DEAN OF THE CAMERON SCHOOL OF BUSINESS


The University of St. Thomas invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Cameron School of Business. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredits University of St. Thomas.

 

Founded in 1947 by the Basilian Fathers, the University of St. Thomas is an internationally respected Catholic, private, co-educational, comprehensive university.  Located in the heart of Houston’s rapidly expanding cultural, medical, and corporate centers, St. Thomas enrolls a richly diverse student body of approximately 3,700 undergraduate and graduate students from 30 states and 57 foreign countries.  The University is ranked in the top tier of regional universities in the West.

 

The Dean of the Cameron School of Business leads a gifted and diverse faculty, inspiring them to enhanced levels of teaching, scholarship and service.  With three departments (Accounting, Economics and Finance, and Management and Marketing), the Cameron School offers the B.B.A., a five-year B.B.A./M.B.A, the M.S. in Accounting, the M.S. in Finance, and the M.B.A.   The Cameron School is also home to the University’s Center for Business Ethics.

 

The Dean of The Cameron School of Business understands and embraces the University’s Catholic mission. As an entrepreneurial leader, he or she seeks innovative and strategic ways to heighten the national and international profile of the Cameron School of Business, and establishes meaningful partnerships in the Houston community and beyond.  She or he effectively leads and continues to build and develop a faculty community committed to the vision and core values of the University of St. Thomas, and positions its programs as distinctive in the business and professional community. 

 

The preferred qualifications for the Dean’s position are: an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited university; a distinguished record of teaching, publishing, and business experience commensurate with an appointment to the rank of Professor; thorough knowledge of AACSB standards; and experience at the level of Dean, Associate Dean, Chair, or Director at an AACSB accredited institution.
