The College of Mount Saint Vincent (Riverdale, NY) seeks an experienced individual with a strong, student-centered focus. The Dean of the Undergraduate College will work in partnership with the Dean of the Graduate School and the Dean of Students, as members of the Provost/Dean of Faculty’s senior management team. 

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is an academically excellent, authentically inclusive, Catholic and ecumenical liberal arts college with approximately 1350 undergraduate and 250 graduate students.   Located in Riverdale, New York, the beautiful 70-acre campus comprised of rolling lawns and wooded hills overlooks the Hudson River and is just 12 miles from midtown Manhattan.

The Dean of the Undergraduate College will oversee the academic support offices of the College including, Academic Advising, Academic Resource Center, BRIDGE, Career Education and Internships, and TRiO. The Dean is also responsible for working with the department chairs in scheduling classes, conducting academic reviews of student performance, and revising the undergraduate catalog.

The ideal candidate must have an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university; at least five years of supervisory experience in higher education; and full-time college or university faculty experience. The Dean must demonstrate a record of planning and implementing innovative programs and activities; have excellent organizational, supervisory, and communication skills; as well as the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.  This position requires knowledge of best practices in higher education administration, vision, imagination, and the ability to carry projects through to completion.
