Elmira College is seeking an excellent professional and visionary leader for a full-time tenure track position as the Director of Nurse Education and Health Sciences. Elmira, the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies, is a small, well-established, residential, liberal arts college in a pleasant community in the Finger Lakes region of New York State (county population 100,000).
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the new Director will provide leadership for faculty in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating programs in nurse education and health sciences; expanding the nurse education program and creating new programs in health sciences; assuring that programs are in compliance with state regulations and national standards of accrediting bodies; and, providing education, academic and career advisement for students.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in nursing or a related field required, Master’s degree in nursing required. At least 10 years of experience in baccalaureate nursing education and five years academic administrative experience required. Recent clinical experience preferred. Candidates must be eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in New York State and Pennsylvania.
