The Sage Colleges Department of Nursing seeks dynamic candidates for four (4) full-time faculty positions: Graduate Nursing Program Director and current ANCC Certification Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Nurse Practitioner.  All four positions will report to the Department Chair.

The Sage Colleges, located in the Capital Region of New York State, includes Russell Sage College for Women, Sage College of Albany, and the Sage Graduate Schools. New York’s Capital Region, located between the beautiful Adirondack and Catskill Mountains, has a rich cultural and educational environment, as well as endless outdoor recreation year round. Boston, Montreal and New York City are within easy access of the Capital Region.  The Department has a well-established program with a rich 90-year history of excellence and innovation in nursing. With almost 500 students, opportunities for study include: pre and post-licensure Baccalaureate, Master’s and Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Nurse Administrator, Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Doctor of Nursing Science.

Graduate Program Director (10 month contract) Seeking an innovative leader responsible for the administrative oversight of the Graduate Program in Nursing working in collaboration with nursing faculty in overall program design; curricular updates in accord with CCNE, NONPF NP Competencies, AACN Master’s Essentials, and NYSED requirements; student advisement; student registration; ongoing evaluation of graduate students’ academic performance; attendance at Director meetings with the Dean of the School of Health Sciences. Position also includes teaching load, college and community service, and conduct of relevant faculty research.

 

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (9 month contract) In collaboration with the Graduate Program Director, the Psych NP is responsible for instruction and oversight of the psychiatric nurse practitioner and undergraduate psychiatric course content; relevant course design and curricular updates in accord with CCNE, AACN/NONPF NP Competencies, AACN Master’s Essentials, and NYSED requirements; student advisement; registration for psychiatric courses; evaluation of student performance; approval of clinical sites for students’ clinical rotations; college and community service, and the conduct of relevant faculty research.

 

Family Nurse Practitioner (9 month contract) In collaboration with the Graduate Program Director, the FNP is responsible for instruction and oversight of the family nurse practitioner course content; relevant course design and curricular updates in accord with CCNE, AACN/NONPF NP Competencies, AACN Master’s Essentials and NYSED requirements; student advisement; registration for FNP courses; evaluation of student performance; approval of clinical sites for students’ clinical rotations; college and community service, and the conduct of relevant faculty research.

 

Adult Nurse Practitioner (9 month contract) In collaboration with the Graduate Program Director, the ANP is responsible for instruction and oversight of the adult nurse practitioner course content; relevant course design and curricular updates in accord with CCNE, AACN/NONPF NP Competencies, AACN Master’s Essentials, and NYSED requirements; student advisement; registration for ANP courses; evaluation of student performance; approval of clinical sites for students’ clinical rotations; college and community service, and the conduct of relevant faculty research.

 

While qualifications are position dependent, preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of a doctoral degree in nursing or a health- related field of study; evidence of current scholarship related to research, teaching and clinical or administrative experience; and experience with curriculum design and evaluation; program development; student recruitment and advisement; college service and regional, state, national or global collaboration in healthcare.
